Dallas Business Journal: Bill Under Scrutiny

The Dallas Business Journal reports that eyes are on the Texas Senate to see what direction HB 789—and its ban on municipal wireless—goes.

What will happen to the legislation in the Senate [Business and Commerce] committee remains an open question. Bill Bragg, spokesman for committee chairman Sen. Troy Fraser, R-Horseshoe Bay, says no hearings have been set and, to his knowledge, there is no timeline for anything to happen.

Fraser "has been in meetings and spent time with the lieutenant governor and staff, trying to figure out where they want the legislation to go," Bragg says.
