We Condemn Threats on Rep. King

News media are reporting tonight that threats have been made against Rep. Phil King, sponsor of HB 789. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram is reporting Rep. King has received two anonymous letters. They say:

King, a Weatherford Republican, said each envelope contained a white powdery substance. The identical letters said he and his family would be harmed if his bill to deregulate parts of the telecommunications industry became law, he said.

We condemn this savage attack, and offer our concern and support to Rep. King and his family.
