Taylor kids use videoconferencing to explore the world
Debbie Kiewit writes in Taylor, sharing a video news clip about a videoconferencing session with Taylor Middle School students (will post shortly).
They had just completed the reading of The Diary of Anne Frank. We then connected with the Museum of Tolerance out of Los Angeles and the kids visited with a Holocaust Survivor. This is quite an experience for our students and, might I add, would have been impossible without the broadband access that TaylorCNET brought to our community.
High speed broadband provided by Taylor's community network is helping these Central Texas kids explore the world. Why should these kids have to wait for the telephone company to eventually reach their town.
