Public Hearing Tuesday
Tomorrow, the House Committee on Regulated Industries will conduct a public hearing on HB 789. They will receive testimony on the entire omnibus telecommunications bill, including the anti-wireless provisions that concern us. We anticipate a robust response as industry, citizen groups, and municipal organizations gather to oppose these provisions.
The hearing will begin shortly after the House adjourns its daily session, sometime likely between 10:30 and 11:30am.
The committee hearing will be streamed live. You'll be able to watch the hearing if you have Real Player. Oh, and if you have a broadband connection.
The hearing is, of course, open to the public, so you are welcome to attend in person.
If you want to help, the most important thing you can do is respond to our action alert. If your state representative is on this committee, it is essential that they hear from you this week.
