We've produced a fact sheet (12KB PDF) that summarizes some of the key reasons why we think the anti-muni provisions of HB 789 are a bad idea. This is the document we've been distributing to Texas legislators.

The reasons we oppose outlawing muni networks are because it:

• Defeats local control.
• Harms rural communities.
• Harms economic development in urban areas.
• Harms technology vendors.
• Restricts beneficial infrastructure in an early stage.
• Locks in a "fee for service" model.
